We’ve been in business since 1983. From Portugal to New Jersey and now to Boston. The family’s recipes still live on here at the Neighborhood Restaurant & Bakery, for everything; home made jelly, syrups, sweetbreads (white +wheat) wines, soups, cream of wheat and sauces.
My brother Mario Borges started it but passed away 7 years ago and I promised that I would do my best to keep the restaurant going. My dad is still here at 87, my nephew, my niece, my waitress’s have been here since they were 16 now there 28!
My breakfast cook has been here for over 10 years now.
